Life updates are hard especially when you don’t know what the heck you’re doing or why you’re doing it—it’s been overwhelming and emotional to put off grad school yet again. If you didn’t know, I was accepted into the marriage/family counseling program at George Fox ready to start school this month but once again the path of my life switched and I have found myself back in Gainesville, GA.

Initially when I was offered an internship with Center for Global Action, which is a discipleship/leadership training program for worldrace alumni, I was not about it. But throughout the years I’ve learned that I’m not the best decision maker, that actually Jesus is the prince of peace and will guide me in any decision I need to make. When I took this opportunity to the Lord I knew immediately that this is where I was suppose to be. He spoke gently and with purpose as he always does.

So, July 22 I hesitantly packed up my car and hit the road, southbound, all the way to Gainesville where I now live. The scariest thing about that was not knowing when or if I’d live in Oregon again, my home. The place where my heart stayed. Close to my family and my best friends. But there’s a line in a song that says “my eyes above what it looks like, my faith beyond what it feels like” and I will choose to keep pressing into where God sends me because I trust that he has a better plan than I do. His eyes are above what I can see. My faith can go above all the things I’m feeling, any doubt or fear.

So even though I WANT to be in Oregon, I will trust that this is actually where I’m suppose to be.

For those of you who have made it this far, thanks for reading! For the duration of this internship I will be support raising again. I will need to raise $1,750–every bit will be going toward housing. The internship itself is all day Monday & Tuesday, and mornings of Wednesday-Friday. I have a part time job with the YMCA which will cover my other expenses. I appreciate all the support and partnership everyone has shown me in the last 2 years throughout my adventures on the worldrace and throughout CGA. All of these experiences were not just life changing but completely necessary for my growth and to help me become the woman I am today. 23 The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way.

24 Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the Lord upholdeth him with his hand. ~Psalm 37

God Bless!
